La Phan is a researcher of The Bridge who earned a master’s degree in Public Policy with a focus on evidence and analysis and program management with distinction from Australian National University. He also earned his Bachelor degree in Policy Studies and Administration at City University of Hong Kong.
La Phan has more than 5 years’ experience in research field and over 10 years’ experience as a social worker. La Phan was also the principal of Naushawng Community School in Myitkyina, Kachin State. He has been working with The Bridge since 2019: he conducted baseline research on Freedom of Religions and Belief of the communities in Chin and Karen states, Mandalay, Yangon and Pego regions; Harm Reduction Efforts in Rakhine, Northern and Kachin sates; Election Monitoring and Observation in Rakhine State.
