The Bridge offers written translation services to both local and international organisations and corporate clients for a range of document types. Our resource pool composed of experienced translators offers services in translation from English to Myanmar and vice versa, as well as minority ethnic or regional languages such as Rakhine/Arakanese, Kachin, Shan, Karen, and Mon.
We have experience in translating a range of subject matter material in complex technical areas such as civic education, law, environmental policy, human rights, and the oil, gas and mining sector. We draw on a pool of experienced internal staff and associate consultants to ensure appropriate technical knowledge and translation quality. Types of documents we can provide translation services for include technical reports, contracts and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), training materials, research papers, legal documents, communications and advocacy materials, amongst others.
The Bridge have provided translation services to diverse international organisations and NGOs (e.g. USAID, Finn Church Aid, Action Aid Myanmar, the Canadian Embassy of Myanmar, and Oxfam), development consultancy firms (e.g. DAI, Montrose), and major companies such as Facebook. As part of these services, we have translated and localised written materials at various stages of development, ranging from translating pre-prepared legal and marketing documents, to adapting research questionnaires developed in draft form in English into appropriate local language ensuring contextual relevance.
