Kyaw Lu Htun, a director and founder of ‘The Bridge’, is a two-time Chevening scholar and holds an M.A., in Global Development and International Political Economy from the University of Leeds, UK (2016-2017), a B.A. in History from the Yangon University of Distance Education, Myanmar (2009-2012), and a Diploma in Environmental Policy from the Open University, UK (2009-2012). Kyaw Lu Htun has a decade of professional experience in numerous fileds in development sector. Prior to working with The Bridge Research and Consultancy, he worked for the UK based global consulting firm, namely Montrose, as a project officer in conducting scoping study, managing value added CSR program and project evaluation. Before that, Kyaw Lu Htun worked for a local legal aid organization, Legal Clinic Myanmar, as a program manager and designed and implemented several projects in the areas of promoting access to justice and rule of law in Myanmar. Kyaw Lu Htun also worked for South-east Asia Greenpeace as a focal person of Myanmar and organized national level round table discussion on climate change and human rights in 2012. He was also the deputy director of Scholar Institute and conducted several education projects.
